About the Owner
Kevin Elrod: A Lifetime of Leadership and Transportation Expertise
From the roads of North Georgia to the front lines of transportation safety, Kevin Elrod has built a career rooted in hard work, discipline, and a deep understanding of the motor carrier industry. At just 14 years old, Kevin learned the art of commercial driving, helping his father haul grain—an early experience that laid the foundation for his future in transportation.
He then dedicated 27 years to the United States Army, serving as an Airborne Infantryman, Drill Sergeant, and Combat Veteran, instilling leadership, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. After his retirement from the military, Kevin returned to his roots, spending two years behind the wheel as a commercial driver before advancing into dispatch, operations management, and ultimately serving as the Safety Director for a 600-power-unit carrier.
Recognizing the importance of safety and compliance in the industry, Kevin transitioned to a pivotal role with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) as a Safety Investigator, where he has conducted roadside inspections, compliance audits, and crash investigations. His leadership within FMCSA extends to serving as Chairman of the Intermodal Equipment Provider (IEP) Tag, as well as IEP Investigation Team Lead and Hours of Service Subject Matter Expert (HOS SME).
With a lifetime of experience spanning military service, commercial trucking, operations, and regulatory oversight, Kevin Elrod brings an unmatched level of expertise to the transportation industry. His mission is to help carriers navigate risk management, ensure compliance, and develop strategies that keep them moving forward—safely and efficiently
